Local, state, national and international agencies rely on GIS technology daily, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency, United States Department of Homeland Security, Los Angeles Police Department and the United States Armed Forces.

The U.S. Department of Labor has identified geospatial technology as one of the fastest-growing emerging industries. As data-driven policing and investigation expand, so does demand for professionals trained in GIS applications.
