Eligibility is based on documentation and verification of at least one of the following: income, current aid recipient, homelessness, Child Protective Services, at-risk of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation. All enrollment forms, current records of the child's immunizations (including Hepatitis B), a current (negative) tuberculin test, and a physical examination must be completed before the child may be admitted into the program.

Family size is determined by counting the parents and the children for whom the parents are responsible for, who compromise the household in which the child receiving services is living. When a child and his siblings are living in a family that does not include their biological or adoptive parent, “family” shall be considered the child and related siblings. The child must live in the State of California to receive services. Evidence of street address is sufficient to establish residency. A person identified as homeless is exempted from this requirement.

Enrollment begins with a search in our eligibility list. Families are selected based on a priority list and eligibility. Families are ranked in the list by criteria for subsidized care. Enrollment is based on the lowest rank first. Families in the state funded program will be charged tuition on a sliding fee scale that is provided by the state.

If families do not qualify for the state-funded program, we have a limited amount of spaces in our non-funded program. Non-funded families are enrolled in the center based on the date of their application and the openings that are available in the center.

Tuition for non-funded families is based on a non-profit budget, with a commitment to assuring affordable costs. Tuition rates are monthly and are based on an established yearly cost that has been broken into monthly segments. Current fee information may be obtained at the center. A non-refundable registration fee is required.
